I'm a former longtime newspaper reporter, photojournalist, editor and publisher of dailies and weeklies in small communities on the rural, isolated North Coast of California.
Post-journalism, my wife and I moved to Cupertino in Silicon Valley for her professional career. I started a photography business and eventually became known, by some, as The Flower Photographer of Silicon Valley. It's a moniker earned from people seeing me constantly at rose gardens, flower gardens and The Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
We've since moved to Carson City, Nev., my wife's hometown, for our retirement. I enjoy the history of The Comstock Lode and continue editing thousands of photos I took in Silicon Valley, San Francisco and the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
My decision to post photos on Medium was because I saw so much bickering on Medium that I thought a few flowers might bring some joy and friendliness to others. Hopefully, I will find other like-minded flower-lovers on Medium, as I have on Twitter.
